Our Commitment to Quality Control
Quality is the foundation of every custom medal, challenge coin, lapel pin, and keychain we produce. At Sino Awards, we operate a multi-stage quality control system that starts before production and ends only after the final package is sealed. With 18+ years of manufacturing experience and a 100-person team, we understand that consistent quality is what turns first-time buyers into long-term partners.
Our factory in Dongguan, China, follows strict inspection protocols at each step of the manufacturing process. From raw material verification to final shipment, every product is checked against the approved digital proof, your specifications, and our internal quality standards.
Production Process and Quality Checks
1. Mold Design & Engraving
According to your approved artwork, our mold design team builds 2D and 3D models for checking with the design and technical departments. The mold engraving department then creates dies using CNC, EDM, or etching. After trial die casting, final adjustments, and sample approval, the mold is ready for production.
2. Die Casting
Die casting skill is the root of quality. We use zinc alloy that meets international standards, providing stable fluidity, excellent detail, and a bright finish. Our technicians adjust furnace temperature and injection pressure for each mold, and add water-flow cooling systems when needed to prevent quality changes from temperature differences.
3. Deburring & Polishing
Raw castings have parting lines and tiny burrs. We remove them with precision tools and use semi-automatic polishing machines to keep every product at the same standard. The result is a smooth, glossy surface that is ready for plating.
4. Plating
We use rack plating so each product keeps a safe distance from others, preventing scratches and ensuring an even color. A copper base and nickel layer are applied first, followed by the final finish. High-purity, eco-friendly plating contents create a strong, durable surface.
5. Coloring
Our products use Pantone colors for the best consistency and durability. Paint is filled into recessed areas by trained workers, then baked to harden. We match colors as closely as possible to your Pantone codes when provided.
6. Final Inspection & Packaging
Every piece undergoes final visual and dimensional inspection before packaging. We verify counts, inspect packaging materials, and pack securely to prevent damage during international transit.

- Attachment security: Ribbons, clasps, and posts firmly attached
- Packaging integrity: Correct quantity, clean presentation, export-ready packing
What Happens If There Is a Quality Issue?
In the rare event that a quality issue is discovered, we work quickly to resolve it. Clients should report any problems within 7 days of receiving the goods. Depending on the situation, we may offer re-production, replacement, or a refund. Our goal is to protect your reputation and ensure you are confident placing your next order.
